Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Any books or classes anyone can suggest for someone with a script idea?

Question:As played out as this may seem (esp. because of where I live), I think Ive gotta an idea for a decent script but have no idea how to translate what is in my head to what needs to be put on paper to realilze it. For example, does X amount of lines equal X amount of time on a script, are there universally understood ways to show action when writing a script, etc. If you can suggest a book or a class I would appreciate it.

Im in the greater L.A. area...
