Question:I was given a card to take him to an open casting call & he got a call back but then the next step was to pay around $250 for acting classes & modeling ,which I do believe are very important if your really want to be your best, but I am a singlemom/student & don't have the money. I am hoping maybe there are agents or agencies that might see potential , I am extremely interested & was hoping someone would have some helpful advice .

Another way to gain some useful experience (and gauge his level of talent and comfortability) is to audition for community theatre. It's a great way to get some experience.

Unless the agency calls for lessons from a professional acting company, many community centers have free acting classes, or classes for a relatively cheap price. Check around at your local community center, YMCA, Boys & Girls club, etc

I dont know much about acting/modeling classes, but if you want really professional classes i dont think you can find them for much cheaper than $250.
