Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Top Musicals?Question:I am desperately trying to figure out what my director will pick for next year's musical at our school. This year we did Thoroughly Modern Millie. I am so excited that I cannot wait. He won't tell us, though. He always puts on the very popular, well-known shows. Past shows include: Hello, Dolly! Singin' In The Rain Grease The Wizard of Oz Noises Off Annie Get Your Gun Guys and Dolls Oklahoma Barnum Anything Goes Does anyone know of any big shows that he hasn't done yet? There are several not on your list -- South Pacific, Music Man, King and I, Carousel, West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum are just a few. The Little Shop of Horrors? well, obviously these are guesses :) there's the presently oh so popular High School Musical I don't see Bye Bye Birdie on the list, looks like it'd be up to your directors genre My Fair Lady Into the Woods Peter Pan Cinderella (Rogers & Hammerstein's) Sunday in the Park with George West Side Story, Into the Woods, Annie, who knows. If you are a high school the school rights for RENT are now out maybe you'd do that? West Side Story Bye Bye Birdie Best Little Whorehouse In Texas South Pacific Victor/Victoria Cats Phantom of the Opera The Lion King Mama Mia Porgy and Bess Obviously endless possibilities Wicked or fiddler on the roof. |
