Anybody know if new faces talent & model website is a real talent agency or a fa

Question:They're not a traditional agency. They help you get an agency. They have free packages, and then you can upgrade for other features, which is fair and how all the pro sites work. They certainly seem to be the best out there, and were established in 1995 ("We invented online portfolios").

I would suggest signing up and seeing what they offer.

Traditional agencies should not charge because they take a commission from every dollar you make (20%), and you have to pay for your own photos and they also deduct their costs (courier, etc) from the money you make.

A service like New Faces does NOT take commission, and therefore it is perfectly normal that they charge for some services to cover the costs of running their business.

Are they asking you to pay a fee? If so most likely it's a scam. The best and safest thing to do is do what I'm doing look for an agent. Don't trust websites. Anyone can make a website and put stuff on their. I've ALMOST been involved with scams all week looking for auditons and discoveries online.

Yes, you can put one picture on their website for free; however, if you'll investigate further, you'll note that they immediately start the hard sell to "upgrade" to a fee-based service.

I don't think new faces is a fake talent and model website. i've opened the site once and there's nothing suspicious about the whole thing. i even explored on the site and created my account as a model, hehhehe... i think the payment is for upgrade accounts.

New Faces is real! I'm on the site and they have lots of castings, and you can hear back from agents too my friend joined before me and she got a photoshoot through them!!!

As far as I know, New faces is a portfolio site, it's not an agency. Common sense, if it is a fake site for models and actors, why would the owner, Hilary Rowland, allow herself to go public and showcase her modeling expertise and write about books on modeling? Just because a site asks payment for it's services, doesn't mean its illegal. :)

New Faces definitely NOT a fake nor a Scam! I've heard a lot of good things about the site. Good thing about New Faces is that, even if you're a Basic (Free) member, Agents can still contact you directly to your portfolio. You just need to make sure that your photo is good and professional looking. They have Agents that work closely with them and browse the site regularly. New Faces is a big help for those Aspiring Models and Actors out there to get discovered by Agents and Talent Scouts. New Faces is not just a traditional agency but an Online Portfolio which give their members an International exposure for top castings.
