Actors - How do you cry on key?

generally, on shows they have eye drops like visene they place on ur eyes.

But, true actors, will teach themselve.s dig deep sad something in ur life focus on it.
dead stare into blankness engulf ur thoughts into the saddness, ull cry instantly,
dont 'try' to cry though let it happen naturally.

Do you mean on cue?

On a purely technical level without using any sort of emotional attachment, if you produce the sensation of yawning (as if you were suppressing a yawn)without actually yawning it automatically produces tears. I am sure you will get lots of ideas from this thread but i find this one is a gooden. Sometimes you have to think about things technically and if you find that the text or the character you have created cant find the tears that are required (for whatever reason) then you gotta squeeze them out another way!! I can just do it. I guess its just a talent for me. They tell me to cry and BAM! I am Crying so hard then they say stop and I am Done. HA HA

Another trick actors use - laughing sounds like crying. You can hide your face as though you were in tears and use laughing sounds. Go ahead - try it! It really works!
(just don't use the out-and-out ha-ha-ha-ha kind!)
