Both are absolutely fabulous plays. I guess it depends on what you're looking for...
If you want something to make you laugh for 90 minutes straight Avenue Q is the thing for you. You have to be prepared for some pretty crude humor though. There's nothing funnier.
Wicked is more more the traditional musical lover. Lovely story line....you'll laugh and cry. Beautiful solo's and duets....not much of ensemble singing though. It's the sort of production that you leave wishing you could be part of.

are you digging a twisted love story or a twisted friendship story, that would be ave and wicked, respectfully.

It really depends on your personality, but I've seen both and I DEFINETLY liked Wicked better- the plot seems so real, the characters are so quirky and fun to watch, and the AHmazing music touches me every time. Avenue Q was funny, but it didn't have that quality that makes you really appreciate a show. If you want to get really into it, buy the soundtracks and see which one you like- but if it were me, I would see Wicked 1000%- it is probably one of my favorite shows!

I would say Avenue Q. It's hilarious and it's unique. Wicked is ok, especially of your looking for huge sets and lot of special effects. It all depends on your tastes.

Wicked. its creative and fun to watch, everyone can relate to the characters in some way, and the music is among the best ive heard from a musical.I loved it the moment i started listening to the soundtrack. Avenue q wouldnt be a bad choice though.
