Technically, like the first guy said, they're not really called "extras." Do you mean small parts, like the parts with one line? I think Yertle the Turtle is def. one of the biggest.

Extras, by definition, are extra. They are the smallest roles. Costume changes for the ensemble or chorus (in theater, they are not called "extras") are up to the designer and director. Why not ask them?
