Getting an agent for acting?

Question:I am a preteen, and i really want to become an actress. I have been acting since i was very young and have been involved with a lot of theatre activity. I really want an agent. I am not really sure how it works, but any advice would be helpful. A name of a talent agency could help too. I live in the southeast part of the country. Anwhere form south carolina, the tip of florida, or tennesse would be good. Please i need your help!
