Question:I want to know eg what clothing is accurate for the Hooverville scenes - also would poor people then have smoked? Would they be wearing denim? As regards Bert Healy - would he have been very smart in appearance eg centre parting, hair neatly slicked? And so on esp as regards how the Cabinet would also be and the "Judge"

1930s dress for people with money it wqould be smart fashion - 4 peice suits for men and 3 quarteer length dresses for women and the poor would be dressed in rags (no denim) - im pretty sure just about everyone smokedin the 30s but the richer classes would smoke cigars or use cigrette holders

Have you never seen the movie then??? That would give you some great tips. It's set in the 30s, right? Well, books on 30s style is what you should be looking at.

seems to me that movie took place in the depression era and things varied a great deal as poor folks wore what they could get ahold of. Perhaps you could look up or google styles of the 30's to see what worked or maybe watch the old movie"Grapes of Wrath" or even watch the movie "Annie."

1. Depression era homeless rags
2. Yes. Neatly tailored light colored suit, slicked, etc
3. Very businesslike dark suits without exception

Why don't you research these questions instead of asking around?
