I NEED SOME HELP.please.?

Question:Hi my name is brittany.Im 13 and im really wanting to get a start in acting,I would like to be similar in a way to Ashley Tisdale,by starting small then getting big like she is now.Example would be starting with modeling/commercials,then small to big roles in television shows,then movies/singing.

My mom said I must make the grade to go to a acting camp,but that "rule" may interfer with what I want to do in life,it makes me so upset and sad inside knowing that I would have to raise my own money,just to do get where I want inside.

Im really determined and prepared,and im wanting this more than anything.My question is,do I really have a chance to become like Ashley Tisdale and Miley Cyrus [[without the scadals of course]] and my mom doesn't think I have it in me to become "one in a million" and she said its very unlikely to become a true hollywood star,or a disney star I should say.

Do I have a chance at all to reach my dreams and any advice?

First off, you're not going to get anywhere if you don't get some experience. Acting/Dancing/Singing classes are a good start. You start to get some talent under your belt, and grow your confidence. Plus, if after about a year of classes if you realize you really don't like it, it'll be easier for you to back out. Since you didn't say where you live, I'll suggest you look online or ask your friends at school where they take classes.

Once you've had some training, you need to start building your resume. Do Community Theater, act in your school play, get in some student films, etc. You'll want to do as many productions as possible.

After you've got a good resume built up, you'll need to get an agent by sending in a headshot and a copy of your resume. Use this to help:

As you can see, you're going to need to spend at least two years (At the VERY least. Usually you'll need three to four.) building yourself up. You'll want to make sure this is what you really want to do before you start getting into this.

Also, you should NEVER have to pay for anything when it comes to getting an agent. If an agent tells you to take special classes from them or a website asks for a credit card number, that is a red flag that it is a scam. A legit agency would instead get you jobs and when you get paid, take a percentage of your check.

I'm 12, and I want to become a singer...

Don't let anyone (even your mom) tell you, that you can't do something, get a tutor, get your grades up. And then, get money, practice singing, and sing to ANYONE who will listen.

You have it in you, just don't give up.

What you should do is just start acting in local plays even a type of Children's Theater or if you haven't already join a choir join one. As you get more into acting, singing and just performing in general you can start to work on bigger projects like commercials, modeling, and maybe even TV shows! Good luck and I hope this helps! =D

I am about the same. I want to become a famous actor and all that. Have you looked at websites. Look in google search for acting or models like that. I myself live in a small town nowhere near somewhere to start an acting career. I know how you feel. I think that you should show your talent to as many people as possible. Show your teachers, friends and other poeple. At one of my sisters plays, I met a director who will help me in acting and try to get me in his plays, so you should look into your community and see if anyone knows a director for helping you get into acting. Thats about all my advice for now, keep in touch with me and keep me posted about if my advice was good enough or not.
