Question:What would a reasonable charge be for a head shot session from a reputable photographer who knows what he/she is doing. I live in the Washington, DC area. I'm more interested in quality, not the cheapest rate.

I hope this helps you out. LOL - I spent way too much time looking up photographers, but it's good to know what they charge. I'm in the market for new headshots myself in the DC area.

$300-$2500 and anywhere in between

Quality costs money, money is no object when you are buying quality. Get referrals from other models and SEE The work they had that photographer do. WORKING MODELS...not wannabes. :)

Excellent, excellent answers above! The only thing I have to add is this: Most times, you get what you pay for with headshots. Make sure you go and look at these photographers' books in person. Also, if you're young, twenties or so, you'll need new shots every few years; more often for a kid. So that may affect how much you'd like to spend.
