Improv experience and skills will definitely help your acting skills.

How you do at Second City isn't going to affect your chances one way or the other. The people from there who succeeded were talented, driven and lucky.

Every camp and every acting studio brags about all the famous people who attended. What really will increase your chances is how good you are. IF you are outstanding someone will notice.

Just remember that training and skill is one thing. Marketing yourself and getting your work seen is another. You'll need to work on your business skills too. This is the biggest missing link to a lot of actors' careers and the reason, a lot of times, that many don't work much.

Good luck.
