THE BEST musical colleges in new york?

Question:i really want to go to college in new york.
i want to study music.
musical composition, with piano.
eventually i want to be a songwriter and singer.
any of you guys know colleges in which i can hone my musical abilities?!?!?

you are lust like me i want to go to colledge in new york and study theater and journalism.. to be a theater critic. a great school to look at would have to be juilliard school of arts

Keep in mind, New York in NOT the be-all-end-all. It only has a few good music schools - Julliard & Mannes. Conservatory of Music (CCM) at University of Cincinnati, Northwestern, and many schools in other parts of the country FAR outrank most of the New York colleges.
