Position:Home>Theater & Acting> How long are broadway plays?

Question:The longest are about three hours (Les Miz, for instance) The shortest are usually 90 minutes or so. Another fun fact - There are plenty of shows that do not have intermissions. Currently, Chorus Line was written this way, Grand Hotel and Pippin too, and the current Xanadu has no intermission. (I thought my legs might fall off from sitting so long in those tiny Braodway seats!)

depending on what show you see the average is 3 Hours

well it depends but ya between 2-3 most of them have an intermission which makes it a little longer

Usually 2-3. You can look at how long each show on Broadway is on:

http://www.broadway.com/

Go down toward the bottom of the page, it'll say "Recommended Shows." Click on the show you want to see. Scroll to about mid-page of the show's page, where it says "The Bacics," the pink box. It will say in that box how long the show is and if it has an intermission or not. Have fun at your show!
