depends on the role you're going for. you might not wanna be smiling the whole time if the character is dark and brooding.

generically however you'll need:

a positive attitude brimming with confidence
a thorough knowledge of the script and character
willingness to follow direction
an anecdotal story that somehow relates to the character (only use it if asked or steer conversation in that direction)

remember, the auditoners are going to be just as nervous as you (even tho they don't look like it)

smile yes be happy when you sing

what are they having you prepare? a monologue? Or are you reading from a script? If it's a monologue, or a serious play, make sure you show that you can do drama.

Be noticeable. Happy is good, but don't be annoying (you don't want them thinking, "can I take this every day for 2 months...?"). Just be friendly and outgoing.

act big if it's a highschool play, but be natural. practice a lot. and just do your best.

Yes, smile! Depending on the audition, they may want a monologue, 16 bars of a song, or a dance prepared. If it's for a happy play, musical, etc then show that you're happy!
