Get involved in community theatre. You will log in experience and make contacts. You will get the chance to try many different aspects of theatre, like lighting, sets, makeup and costumes. This experience might make the difference in getting a role in the future and /or having jobs in the industry while you wait for the big break.
You also need to take classes in singing and dancing. Any other skills such as martial arts, or fencing could be the edge you need. Now a days you are expected to bring more to the table than an ability to deliver lines.
Don't sit back and wait for an agent to find you the dream job. Take the time to build your skills.
