a lot of people think they're pretentious. some are good tho. personally i think most are pretentious and pretty insignificant

i'd have to disagree. the majoring of the films that i watch are independent films. (i'm a HUGE movie buff) though many indie films seek to shock their audiences, the majority attempt to open people's eyes to worlds otherwise unexplored in mainstream films today. from topics such as sex and teenage promiscuity, to struggle or just quirky comedies, all independent films shouldn't be overlooked on the account that you saw a few rotten ones. hope that helped!
