Firstly I would just like to say that I can't understand why you are asking a question like this when you quite clearly haven't grasped simple grammar yet.

To answer your question, I would personally disagree because that play has so many different characters who have individual meaning and their own stories. Yes, the play is predominantly about Blanche and her 'downfall' so to speak, but it is also strongly concentrated on Stella and Stanley along with Stella's transformation since she left Belle Reve and moved to New Orleans. This play has so much to it and I wouldn't generalise it like that; it may be a true statement on a smaller scale, but I wouldn't say that the play is simply a squalid anecdote. It is more of a complicated set of events that revolve around Blanche but don't happen simply because of her.

I Agree!

I disagree. The play is about much more than that. Your (florid) hypothesis only addresses one character. The other characters are not just props. They are there for a reason.

Frustration is a theme but not just Blanche's. As is often the case in Williams' plays, everyone wants something that is unattainable because of both internal and external circumstances. It is the desire for more that causes the interaction and conflict between characters.

If that's a question from some sort of test, it's for you to decide.

I just thought it was a fairly good film of the time, and enjoyed it,for what it was, everything tells its own tale.Once you dissect and try to analyse anything, you are in a hole with spare spades, everyone sees a situation, lesson, or event, differently.Like religion, you open a new can of worms, everyone has an opinion.

Indeed, the strumpet Blanche got her just deserts, served her right too !
