I want to be a Screenwriter!!!?

Question:Ok, so I am looking at colleges, and my dream is to become a screenwriter for a show like "Conan O'Brien". I have taken classes at SVA in NYC, and I have written for things in the past. But I have no idea where to go!

I know I don't want to go to an art school, because I want my backup plan to be communications, but I am completely lost.

It needs to be within 3 1/2 hours of NYC, preferably big name.

My grades are pretty good, 92 GPA, haven't gotten SAT results, but I have a C average for math sophomore year.

I would recommend New York University as not only do they have a communications department, English Creative Writing (Graduate program) and Dramatic Writing which includes undergraduate and graduate courses in screenplay writing.

Thats good to know maybe you can screenwrite fr my acting!!
