Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Does anyone know the perfect song for this?

Question:I'm going to be auditioning for a dinner theatre very soon, and one of the things I need to perform is a song. I'm looking for a very upbeat song. If it is a little bit rock and roll, that's great, but it doesn't have to be. It also has to be for a mid-range voice, not too high, but not super low, suitable for a young female. If you know of any songs that fit this description, I would greatly appreciate your help.

I have an idea, but it depends on what you mean by young female. If its theatre, i would recommend a song from a musical and i have the perfect one . Its called Out Tonight from the musical rent. It fits the genre perfectly. Its good for someone in their late teens/early twenties. if you need something a little younger.........

Something from the musical hairspray
Something from grease

these are just ideas. do some looking around if none of these songs fit you. You will find something. good luck at the audition!

either

duffy---mercy

or

an amy winehouse song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Fly me to the moon"

It's a fun song if you sing it correctly and very upbeat.

How about "Mushaboom" by Feist?

Something from "Anything Goes" would fit that bill.

"Anything Goes"
"I Get A Kick Out Of You"
"Blow Gabriel Blow"
"It's De-Lovely"

Also, something like "All That Jazz" might be good.

I got the perfect one it is for dinner club age groups ( HIT THE ROAD JACK )
