Since "the American Dream" has become a noun in its entirety, representing a way of thinking/ feeling/ and behaving, yes, it should be capitalized. God Bless you.

No. Not unless you are refering to something specifically titled/named "The American Dream", say a book.

Stop asking this question in unrelated catagories.

Nope because the word American is a proper noun; whereas the world dream is a common ordinary noun. The only time it should be capitalized is if it were the proper name of something like a Movie, or a Book.
