Acting classes before getting a talent agency?

Question:I'm getting ready to sent my resumes, head shots and cover letters to some agencies. But I heard you have to attend some acting classes before I do that. Like adding the name of the acting school to my resume or something. Is this true?

You don;t HAVE to have classes in order to get an agent.... but it does help... and you don't HAVE to have a list of the acting classes that you took, but agents like to know that their clients are well trained and ready to just get out there into the Business.... Do you know how to slate a camera? Can you memorize a page in a script in less then 25 minutes? these are the things that you have to learn how to do, and acting classes do help....
so... you might want to find a regular class, or an acting coach in the area....

Like i said you don't HAVE to do it.... but it helps a ton!
