It's my first acting audition... any tips, plz????

Question:I have an audition soon (open-casting), and I don't know WHAT to expect. There's no exact role... cuz I saw it on the TV, and it said I can get the chance to act on TV... Any tips, plz??? PLZ AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) MWAH!!!!!!!!!! <3

Be yourself..don't try to be what you think they're looking for,
relax, get to the audition at least 15-30 min early, have your headshot & resume w/ you, pay attention to what's around you
and who your auditioning for, when you finished don't aks questions like "how was that?", "did I do well?", "should I call you?", don't look at this as your "only" audition and feel that you have to get the part... there will be other auditions. And have fun.

well I would not be expecting to get a role with a lot-if any- lines. Acting, ecspecially film, is a tricky business. Not all auditions are the same! The best thing you can do is be prepared with whatever you are supposed to have, don't let anyone physche you out. Go in there, try to keep your calm, don't get over excited at anything. Don't look to intimidated. Eye Contact goes a long way, shows confidence. Be happy and courteous to everyone. Dress professionally and comfortably. Be yourself. And do whatever's asked the best you can and if you mess up, dont apologize ( never apologize for your performance) just get it together and pick yourself up. Keep on going. That's all I can think to tell you!

Oh wow I just saw your question and reread it. uh-oh. Hmmm. That kind of screams SCAM to me! If htey tell you your gonna get famous and all you have to do is pay for your flight to LA nonononon. be very very very careful. There are many many corrupt practices in film, and auditions like what you are talking about are often bad news. If they ask for money at all really.. RUN THE OTHER WAY!! Dont get took!

Act natural coz if your all uptight and nervous there is NO WAY you'll get it. Of course you can be nervous but try not to show it. Get in there be confident and speak clearly. Make sure you be YOURSELF not what you wanna make them THINK you are good luck

Be careful, that has SCAM written all over it.

dont expect anything with lots of lines. if its a singing part they will ask you to sing... theres going to be alot of people there if you saw it on t.v. there proadbly goign to ask you to read lines. maybe an advertisement or something. make sure you read through it with as much energy and emotion as you can. try to act it out as you can. when you walk in be very happy and polite. when you walk out thank them.
