Anyone have tips on auditioning?

Question:I want to be a thearter actresses and I have tried a few times. Most of the time, I get a chorus role but I was just wondering if there are any tips for auditioning like preperations and such. Could anyone help me out?

Some things I do before auditions:

1. Stretch- make sure your body is completely comfortable.
2. Relax- sit in the "meditation" position, and breath in and out, deeply. Try to keep your mind blank.
3. Come COMPLETELY prepared. Make sure you know exactly what the director is looking for, whether it is a monologue or a song.
4. Be polite, and know the rules.
5. Never, never hold back your talent. The rule is: Give them everything you've got, over the top, and they can reign you back. If you don't give them everything, they don't want you.
