So they've never laid eyes on you, never seen you act, and never heard you sing---but they want you to come in and "audition". Doesn't that strike you as slightly strange?

Sweetie, this is what is known as "cold-calling". They get a list of names and call everyone on that list, in the hopes that a tiny percentage of the people on that list will end up buying their product. In this case, their product is lessons. And they will use some very high-pressure sales tactics on children, which I find unforgivable.

How much it costs depends on how many lessons they sucker you into buying. I've heard anywhere from $1500 to $3000. Then there's this annual convention-thing they do that costs even more.

JRP is a franchise, which means each business is owned independently.

They are not a talent agency. Some of the nicer words I have heard to describe them are "scam" and "bloodsuckers." They will convince you to take a bunch of classes you don't need, and make promises they can't keep about furthering your career.

Pay attention to how they got your name. How many other girls do you think they called?

Its not a good school. I went to an audition there when i was about 8 or 9 and they wanted 2,000 dollars before i took any classes or anything. i didnt go through with it because it was a scam.

SCAM They are a fraud and only after you to take expensive classes do not even go.

JPR is a scam... just like Barbizon... Do not get invoved with them, it'll give you an extremely bad rep and basically they're there to just give you some bogus lessons and steal your money... It's harsh but true!
