How long? What for? The Valerie of Now is quite long and it's quite amusing but very serious subject matter. Our Town when Emily is dead and walking around the cemetery. Try A My Name is Alice. There are tons of collections out there, some u can probably pick up at your local Borders or B&N others you can pick up at Amazon of Drama Book Store on-line. Alot of these are collections of monolouges not from plays but just written as monolouges. If this is for an audition or competition be sure and check if this is acceptable. Sometimes rules specifiy a momlogue must be from a published play.

13-17 is a really wide range. There are monologues like one from a play called Seasape With Shark an Dancer that I used for my NYU audition and 'Denity Crisis an absurd Christopher Durang play that I'd reccommend for a 17 year old but think would be inappropriate for a 13 year old.

I don't know if I've been all that helpful, but Good luck.

Here's a good 1 Minute Monologue:

I just wanna say, it's not easy being a kid. And it's not easy being a kid who looks like me either. Let's face it, those other kids are right. I'm a loser. I'm a nerd. I'm the girl that never gets asked to be on anyone's team. I'm the girl they laugh at. So I bite my lip and I look away and pretend it doesn't bother me, but it does! It does and they don't see! I just wish I could know why everyone in school has to be divided into winners and losers. And Why I always have to be one of the losers. I know isn't fair, nobody said it would be, but I just wish, just sincerely wish people could see and acept me as I really am. Is that so much to ask?
