Yes! They both start out with two people meeting in the summer, liking eachother, and then forgetting about eachother. Then the two unexpectedly meet eachother in school, and the movies are about the two struggling for something. In Grease, they struggle to become a couple. In HSM, they struggle to be able to sing together.

Well, West Side Story and HSM have the same plotline, but I would never compare them! x]

I would compare them because they are both really dumb and corny. The music in Grease in better than HSM though, but I'm not saying that it is good. These are my two least favorite musicals.
