OMG! Wicked is one of the best plays that I have ever seen. The quality of it is amazing! The songs are beautiful, the costumes are beautiful, after you watch it, it will leave you in a totally different perspective of The Wizard of Oz. It will leave you in complete awe.

Basically, it is about The Wicked Witch of the West (Elphaba) when she was young, before Dorothy came along. About her friendship with The Good Witch. Also it tells a little about her going to school with her sister, who turns out to be The Wicked Witch of the East.

Awesome and to take a chick with you...priceless. Last great musical that I saw was sophisticated ladies and this ranks right up there with it.

You will enjoy it.

i saw wicked on broadway back in 2004 (with idina menzel as elphaba) and it was AMAZING!! worth every penny. very funny, and visually stunning.

it's basically about the wicked witch of the west (elphaba is her name) and her friendship with glinda the good witch...like how they met, and how elphaba is so misunderstood. it basically tells the story of 'the wizard of oz' from the perspective of elphaba.

Oh my gosh, it was the coolest thing I've ever seen!

YES!! I just saw it on Broadway like 3 months ago. It was really good. I enjoyed it the whole entire time!

Um yea definitely go see it! I saw it back when it first came out with Idina Menzel as Elphaba and Laura Bell Bundy as Galinda/Glinda (Kristin Chenoweth had the night off). That was pretty cool because Laura Bell is now Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. I thought the show was amazingly good. I especially liked the dragon that is on the ceiling (look for it when you go cause it moves!). Basically the plot is about discovering who you really are and never letting anybody judge you based on appearances. The musical follows Galinda (who drops the "a" and changes her name to Glinda) and Elphaba as they are going to school and growing into women. The two were never always bitter rivals and they were even friends. The songs are catchy and the story intriguing. I say its a must to see on Broadway.
