New Faces is an online database for models and actors. You can sign up for free, or pay for a better membership. If you want to model and act, however, I would go with a legimate agency in your area.

Random acting and modeling agencies are always stopping me and my friends at the mall. They usually pick out pre-teen girls and tell them that they can become famous. With young girls being so naive they'll go ahead and waste money. If you really wanted to get into acting and modeling, get yourself an agent that's reliable. Do some research first.

Check with the Better Business Bureau. Lots of those so called modeling agencies are scams. If they ask you for money, you will know that it's a rip off.
