How can i get into character for alice in wonderland?

Question:im going to audition for alice in alice in wonderland, but im not that confident so im going to audition for the hare and doormouse aswel.

how can i get into character for these characters?
ive watched the films loads of times, and im reading the book now.
i have enough time as the auditions are in april.

Answer some questions for yourself such as- what does the character want? How are they going to try to get what they want., How do they feel about the other characters in the scene? Does he/she like them? Not like them? How does the character feel about him/herself? How would a hare or door mouse move? What would their energy be like?
Those are just a few of many decisions you have to make. The more you answer them the more you will start to build the character. Good luck!
