Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Acting or Film?

Question:I am about to sign up for a teen film camp. There's a filmmaking session and an acting session. I'm passionate about both, and can only do one session. I am most likely going to pursue a career in musical theatre, so you'd think the obvious choice would be to do acting. But film is very important to me too. What would be the best choice? The camp is really expensive, so this might be a one-time-only thing.

I would sign up for the filmmaking session. You can get plenty of acting experience and exposure in community theater, but the film skills are not as easy to pick up elsewhere.

I'd choose the acting session, but that's just me...

The best advice I can give you is to follow what you want. This isn't really a good question, because you are having someone decide your future for you. You are in control of what you do, so do whatever your heart tells you to. And whatever you pick, follow it and never give up, OK?

Good luck! =)
