Research the play that you are auditioning for. Find out what parts you think you could play. choose a monologue (and/or song) that you think is SIMILAR to what your character would perform, but never perform something out of that play unless the director asks you to.

Memorize your audition pieces before hand, and if you have previous experience, compile a resume and a headshot (a picture of you).

Come in to auditions confident, clean, and dressed in nice, but comfortable clothing. before auditioning, state your name, hat you will be performing, and what it is from/who it is by.
