Im in drama class...?

Question:and im in a play, about a one night stand. and its a 10 minute play, and iv never acted before. any advice?

be confident in yourself.

take the time to warm up your body and voice before going onstage. And just allow yourself to feel the emotions that your character would feel. Forget that there are people watching you. You aren't you anymore, you're the chracter, and that person doesn't know that theres an audience. HAVE FUN!

Acting is SO much fun!

Also, learn your lines so well that you can say them in your sleep.

Congrats on deciding to act, first of all! First, you want to be confident and comfortable in your skin. When you act, act like you believe in what you're saying. Put emotion in your voice and lines, and react to what the other person is saying. It's sounds rather comedic, so be sure to pay attention to comedic timing.
