I really want to become a renowned actor but the area i live in has no auditions

Question:i live in an area with no auditons at all, but my dream is to act, i would really love to become an actor, but, i cant unless i get an auditions but i live in maine, and there are no auditions, how can i get some acting knowledge or get people from big cities like new york to notice me?

There are always opportunities no matter where you are - even in Maine. You can build up your resume in your home state, build some connections there, and then work on finding audition and attention in NYC.

Well, I would begin honing your skills by auditioning for parts in your community theatre. I'm sorry to say, but acting is all about networking. So, once you feel you're ready, you'll have to make either the move or commute to someplace like New York or L.A. The big guys are not going to come to you. You can try doing some local film and making a sample reel to send with your headshots. When you meet someone with connections, you have to keep in touch with the occasional postcard or invitations to your plays. Fortunately you live in Maine, which isn't TOO far from N.Y. It's a rough business, though.

Then create your own opportunities, write your own performance pieces, and showcase yourself. :)

I live in New York and I wanna become an actor too. but im not. soo new york wont help. wat u need to do is audition for drama club or any theater. Maybe try los angeles. In NY if u kno da rite ppl, then mayb u may have a chance.
