Think of a person who has repeatedly been rude, disrespectful, and ugly to you on a regular basis and think of the last thing he or she did like this that angered you. This works for me every time and in this world, thinking of a self-centered person like this shouldn't be too hard.

let it all out pretend that you are that character.

Well, you don't plan it out or pretend it. You react to the stimuli of the scene with your true feelings without any inhibitions. Just allow your self to do this. Stay focused on what is being said and done in the scene and let it happen.

Think about something that really makes you mad and upset and use the energy in the character.

outraged would be like "you can believe this is happening "...
OMG what is this world coming too attitude
and as for sad think about someone you really care about being taken from you and they are never coming back..
how's that make you feel....
