Question:Where can I find the casting call information for Disney Channel?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Where can I find the casting call information for Disney Channel?

I have worked in the entertainment industry for over 20 years and have accumulated a wealth of knowledge. When I started out, I didn't have much information and spent countless weeks, months and even years learning the ropes by trial and error. I know how valuable information and resources are to people who are starting out from scratch. So I recently decided to use some of my spare time to create a blog with Disney Channel casting notices, audition information, information on getting an agent, demo-reels, resumes, etc. There are far too many scam artists out there who take advantage of those actors who are trying to make their dreams come true. The information and casting notices I provide are totally free and legitimate. Hopefully I can save some people a few bucks and a lot of footwork.

(I have also created a sister-site Hannah Montana Auditions, and a general Acting Auditions site)

Sincerely,

Alan Baltes

Yes, but let's get real. This is about the 20th time I've seen this question here, and the frank answer is: if you don't know, you have zero chance of getting hired.

Let's assume that your talent is equal to that of Miley Ray. OK, and you show up at the audition. You'll be surprised to be surrounded by 100 other young performers, all of them just about as talented as you, most of them already members of the actor's union, and they fall into two groups. Some are teens who've been acting professionally for over 10 years; others are young adults who can look and act like teens.

So if you're a director, and you were choosing from among equally talented people, who would you want? A teen with professional experience? A young adult who won't make your shooting schedule difficult due to child labor laws? Or a teen with neither benefit, like yourself...

If you really want a career in show biz, then get into amateur productions, take instruction in acting/voice/dance and other stage skills, obtain a well-rounded education, and seriously consider completing a bachelor of fine arts degree at a top university program. Then you'll understand how to qualify for auditions and how to build a career.
