Original oratory topics?

Question:I am doing an original oratory for my speech team. I'm having an extremely hard time coming up with a topic. I'm a pretty good writer, I just need a spark to get me started. Any suggestions. I would prefer open minded answers and topics that aren't over done. I really want to stand out to the judges with a fresh new topic.

Hello, I am a fellow speech competitor. I love Poetry and Prose and duo.

I suggest looking at past tournament records and topics for ideas. Even though these have been done, they are the best of the best and i am sure you can create a more timely spin.
They date back to 1963. Nobody will remember those topics. I hope this helps!
