1. There is no evidence to indicate why Shakespeare wrote A Midsummer Night's Dream. It is generally suspected that he was commissioned to write a play for some special event or festival. Possibly, he was asked to do this by some adminstrative figure for whom he didn't particularly care, so he threw together the play. Some say he wrote in a week or even less. The rude mechanics are tradesmen in Athens. They do their play to help the Duke celebrate his marriage.

2. Sorry. I have no idea.

3. It's in Act V. Read it.

This sounds like homework.
First read the play.
Second watch the movies.
Third do your own homework and you will understand the work more.

Midsummer Night's Dream is a really good story. It is a good movie and easy to follow.
