Don't worry too much about learning the dialect for auditions. If you have time to practice it, great, but directors aren't expecting you to have a complete characterization for the part when you try out. More importantly, you should have a good idea of how you see the character but also be willing to take the director's suggestions.

Don't be afraid to go completely over the top. It's okay to embarrass yourself, and you need to be as free of inhibitions as you possibly can. With Adelaide, there's no such thing as too much--at least until the director tells you to tone it down. Remember to have fun! Good luck!

Work on sneezing, looking a bit cheap and your Bronx accent.

Adelaide is a fun part. I hope you get it and have a lot of fun.

Break a leg.

Yes, work on your Brooklyn! Get the dialect down, and then practice it with your friends in conversation 'til it's natural, and then lay it on the directors big time during the auditions.

And you do have your dance chops and your show-girl vixen routine down pat, as well, don't you?

Break a leg, kiddo.
