Agent, acting, movies...help!?!?

Question:Hi,
My mom says that she will probably get me an agent next school year. I don't know anything about agents though! Can anyone tell me how to get a good agent who won't cheat you, and won't put you in horror flicks, or 18A or R movies? Websites would be very helpful. Thanks to anyone who can help:)

The actor does NOT tell the agent where he/she will or not work. The agent is the professional.

You are the actor, be quiet and do what your agent recommends, or find another agent.

Agents work on commission only usually, 10%/15%
