Dear Birdpoong,

Look at the answer kittydoo just gave and skip way down to the bottom. There you will find two of the greats of acting and the techniques which they pioneered still in use all over the world to this day. In fact, I feel any books by Uta and Konstantine will do the job. One book in particular is called "An actor prepares" by Mr. Stanislavski.

I went to the Borders website (because I work there & I'm not above making a plug) and found these listings:

1. Theater Games for Rehearsal
Spolin, Viola
Paperback ~ June, 1985 ~ In Print
List Price: $19.00

2. Acting Games: Improvisations and Exercises, Ser.
Cassady, Marsh / Zapel, Theodore O.
Trade Paperback ~ October, 1993 ~ In Print
List Price: $16.95

3. Acting Games for Individual Performers: A Comprehensive Workbook of 110 Acting Exercises
Levy, Gavin
Trade Paperback ~ September, 2007 ~ In Print
List Price: $17.95

4. 112 Acting Games: A Comprehensive Workbook of Theatre Games for Developing Acting Skills
Levy, Gavin
Trade Paperback ~ April, 2005 ~ In Print
List Price: $17.95

If you don't want to go to Borders or B&N, try your library. If you want more than a quick fix, read Stanislavski and/or Uta Hagen. I think Michael Caine also has a book on acting.
