Question:I am auditioning for Ado Annie in Oklahoma in about a week. We have to sing "Out of my Dreams", and for my scene, I am going to do the one where Ado Annie and Laurie are talking about Will Parker and the Peddlerman (right after will gets back from the city.) Any tips on what to do when singing and/or reading my lines (i say reading, but i've already memorized the scene.) THANKS!! :)

Always focus on your character's objectives. What do they want and how are they going to accomplish it? Do a brief character analysis, applying this to your entire scene and to individual lines as neccessary.

And don't forget the energy! If you get up there and have a purpose and energy, any director who's not a moron will see potential in you.

Good luck!
