Question:What happened that caused you to blow an audition?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: What happened that caused you to blow an audition?

One of the stupidest auditions I recall is where the committee of auditors had me perform my prepared monologue by SINGING it opera style.

Then they had all the people auditioning gather together in a circle onstage for theatre games (such as acting like we were a machine).

The audition was for a very respected theatre company in town. My legs hurt for three days afterward from doing all the "exercises". I guess I didn't sound good singing my monologue like Pavarotti, so I wasn't cast.

I prefer simply reading from the script, I'll save the games for improv class.

i was naked

i puked on the person judging me so i ran out!

a few months ago i was auditoning for a school production. we had to learn a very complicated set of dance steps and i had practiced for an hour and 1/2 (we only had 1 hour before it was time to preform) i practiced for what seemed like forever and when it was time to dance, i got up on stage and they played the music and i did the whole thing backwards. needless to say i didnt get the part :)

i farted aloud

Hello CK, I attended a job interview and after wards was in the car park changing back into shorts when oops I was caught in my undies by the interviewer as he came after me to let me know to attend a medical - never got that damn job...

i was in the middle of singing a song when i got a bad case of the hiccups. i would hiccup every 5 seconds and i honestly sounded like a toad T_T''

A few years back doing my freshmen of College. I remember doing an audition for "Spongebob Squarepants the play". I had to get to up front 40 people to belt out the Spongebob Squarepants theme song. If this hadn't been one of my first auditions I think I would have been fine. Not only am I not a singer but I am not a dancer either. Needless to say the experience was eye openning. I did get casted though...as a jellyfish! :)

Ugghh, in one of my auditions, i wanted to sing something upbeat. So I sang Gary Indiana from The Music Man. Unfortionatly, the girl who auditioned before me sang the exact same song! And she did amazing. Then I got up there and forgot all of the words! It was sooo bad. The directors took pity on me and cast me anyway though.
