You won't find acting jobs until you have a great resume of experience and training, then you will still need an agent. There is very little work for young teens. Unless your parents are working hard for your acting career, it will not happen in high school. Take all the speech and drama stuff, be in all the plays and speech competition, and build your abilities. When you get ready to think about college, you will need to make a decision between college and trying to break in without college. You have a long way to go. Relax.

Yes, wait until high school.

When you graduate from high school, enroll in a University that has an excellent theatre department so you can get a lot of on-stage experience, which, hopefully, will lead you to being able to book roles in Regional Theatre productions.

Before you go out and try to find an agent and act on a professional level you need to gain experience in school plays or community theatre- build your craft that way. And it's very important that you still focus on school.
