It is the tour of the broadway show. and trust me, the tour is not something to scoff at. i saw Hairspray on tour and it was AMAZING.

maybe you were confused if this was the tour of the broadway cast. and no, its not. the cast stays in NYC and the touring cast gets sent on tour.

maybe you were making sure this wasn't a fake website or a fake hairspray cast. no one is allowed to go one tour with a show unless they are associated with the actual show producers.

Well, I don't really understand your question. It's the Hairspray National Tour, so no, it's not in NYC. It's the tour version, lol. I've seen it and it's really good. The sets are basically the same as the B'way version. The actors were all very good, comparable to the B'way people I saw. If you're going to see it, don't worry about it being good, it is. x]

Nope not Broadway but a national touring production. This tour is Non-equity. I'm in no way saying that it is a subpar production because there are some fantastic non-equity tours, but it is scaled down and obviously none of the actors will be members of equity.
