Does Anybody Know Anything About The Pajama Game?

Question:My Highschool is doing the production of "Pajama Game", and I heard through the grape vine that the our director is thinking about giving me the part of Mae?? Is that a good part? Does she have a solo in the musical??
I kind of wanted Babe, what do I need to show my director in my audition to show him that im good for that role??
Any help?? Suggestions?

Babe is the lead; Mae is a supporting role, but I can't remember which. Watch the movie with Doris Day; it'll give you a good idea for the show. Three famous songs -- Hernandos Hideaway, Steam Heat, and I'll Know. If Mae does Steam Heat, take it! It's one of the best numbers ever!
