some roles are really hard say like,,

Learning how to act well is one of the hardest things in the world.

And once upon a time the right look could get you a role in a movie, but nowadays there are dozens of people who look just as good who've done the work to learn how to act also.

And if you have a "gosh I'm so slick" attitude like the responder above, you reduce your odds even more.

Bottom line: there are lots of hot-looking people who've thoroughly trained in all aspects of acting, have experience, and are NOT arrogant pains in the neck. They're getting the few jobs that are out there.

Well it's demanding. While there is a lot of sitting around the days are generally 10-14 hours, five days a week, sometimes six days. Set calls can be as early a 5 am and last til 10 pm. Night calls can run til 6 am.

Its up to you to get to the set or location on time and under your own power.

Then every flub or mistake you makes costs thousands of dollars as film for TV and movies can be reused and it costs time and money for people and there are 100 people on a movie set making an average of $40 an hour each. That's $4,000 an hour in just labor. So every 5 minutes of wasted time is about $1,000 in cost. or about $250 a minute when film isn't running and $350 a minute when film is running.

Acting is very simple and easy. You cannot learn to act, you have to be born with the ability. It is very hard to make any money as an actor. It is always about the right look, because all roles are cast by type. If you don't look the part, you will not get the part no matter how good you are.
