How do I get a play performed in a theatre?

You get an investor....unless it is an, "In house" theatre...which mean that the theatre themselves commision works from playwrights and foot the costs themselves.

Someone, run an ad, you may get responses.

Write a good one.

You write one and get some side street theater to consider it. Or you take it to college students to do in experimental theater.

Contact anyone and everyone! It might not start off on Broadway, if that's what you're hoping for, but it will get a start somewhere. Be prepared for a lot of regection, but someone will be inspired by it.
