Make up artist?

Question:I would love to be a makeup artist for movies and musicals. But i dont know what what it would be called. Fine arts make up artist? Do u know of any schools that teach this kind of makeup artistry?

It depends where you live....
You have to look up different cosmetic schools..
but there is one, where I am thinking of going and it's called "Volona Academy" and it specialises in all things beauty. My aunty is doing a basic course, but theres one called an "Entertainment course" where you learn musical theatre make-up and how to do prostetics (fake cuts, wounds burns etc) and you learn about make-up through the ages..so like victorian, make-up in the 60's...1800's etc etc...

So search around on google and yellow pages for make-up schools, and research them...even ring up and ask if they offer a similar course.

This particular school i'm thinking of going too, will take anyone over the age of 15 and you can do it part time so you can stay in school...although it may be pricey..Volona Academy charges $3,500..so you may need to wait until you finesh school.

It's call a makeup artist. You can go to just about any cosmetic school but there are some well known ones in Los Angeles and New York. Just google "make up artist schools"
