"[title of show] first appeared in the 2004 New York Musical Theatre Festival. Since then it has been featured in the Vineyard Theatre's rotation of productions as well as having a semi-permanent run (which was extended twice) at the same theatre."

I don't believe it was ever on broadway, however its cast is described as 'off-broadway'.
